Mt. Adams Fire Tower

Started this hike on a cloudy and cool morning. Perfect weather for a hike, wow

how that changed lol.

Great hiking with a gentle ups for the first 1.4 miles. Just beyond the Ranger cabin

the trail climbs 1400ft in one mile. Nice work out for the lungs and legs. The view

from the tower is awesome as you can see.

With darker clouds arriving we decided to head down and get the real heavy decent

complete before it rained. We did the climb down swiftly and safely. Then with 1.5 miles

left Penny said , Ok it can rain now, and no sooner after she said it, it poured buckets and

didnt let up. You couldnt have gotten wetter. OMG. Its all part of the ADK.

She now has a new trail name, Rain Woman.

Also when driving to the trailhead, we saw our first ADK Bull Moose.
