Indian Head

This weekend saw us taking on a hike that we have always wanted to do, Indian Head.

Located on the east shore, rising 650 ft. above Upper Ausable Lake. The weather was in the

lower 40s and rising to the lower 50s by the afternoon with some clouds but mostly sunny.

We decided to do the accent via The Gill Brook Trail. From Lake Road it is a 2 mile hike up

this beautiful brook. Lots of roots and abit slippery from rain earlier in the week but this trail

is one of the attractive trail we have traveled in some time. Lots of cascading waterfalls and

Flumes. A fast accent up to Indian Head and we were treated to some awesome views. We decended

via the Ausable Lake trail then the long walk out on Lake road. 9.2 miles round trip.
