This hike is a short and so worth the trip. Located on Rt. 23a, which is one of the most scenic road in the Catskills, is only about a 30 minute walk on a rough at the begining trail. After a few minutes its just gentle ups and downs. You will be following the Katterskill Creek to the falls which is the tallest waterfall in NYS.
Penny was working her craft and producing some incredible natural photos. After the hike we stopped in Saugerties for lunch at a cafe with a very interesting history. Miss Lucys is only 13 years old but looks 150 years. The owner has taken a burned out shell and created a wonderful place to dine. All the bread is baked on premise including smoking their own meat. Try the pastrami sandwich. Delish. Then off to the an awesome book store called The Inquiring Mind just down the street. The day finished at the Saugerties Lighthouse.
